The Film

The Food Waste Project is proud to participating in the GreenScreen program sponsored by the Carsey-Wolf Center and the Associated Students Coastal Fund at UCSB in an effort to create, direct, and produce a short film bringing attention to Food Waste and its impacts.  GreenScreen is a hands-on, project-based environmental media production program where students work in teams to leverage their collective production skills and environmental knowledge. The goal of the program is not only to increase awareness about the environment, but to expand the ways that these issues are represented and communicated. Students have an opportunity to work with local environmental organizations on critical issues that affect Santa Barbara County and beyond.

GreenScreen brings together students in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences to engage in environmental issues through artistic production. This involves working across disciplines, artistic genres, and developing a critical approach to environmental media production.

We are currently in production of our short film about consumer food waste. Check back soon to see the film!
